“P&F have been my lawn service for 3 years now. They never disappoint. They are always on schedule and they do a great job on my lawn. Because of my lack of time, my flower bed had a lot of weeds growing, and it was too much for me to tackle so that I could plant my flowers for the summer. P&F came and weeded my flower bed and laid down mulch for me. They are very professional and very kind. I would recommend them to anyone who needs lawn service or landscaping done.”
Tree, Shrub & Garden Bed Installation in South Jersey
Trees, shrubs and garden beds installed the right way the first time, with properly graded, amended soil and plant choices suited to your yard.

What to expect from P&F
Plants that are set too deep, crammed together or dropped into plain sand tend to struggle for years. Plants that go in right usually take off. Our installation work is about getting that first day right.
P&F Lawn Care installs trees, shrubs, perennials and new garden beds across Camden, Burlington and Gloucester counties. We shape and grade the bed, work organic matter into our sandy South Jersey soil, set each plant at the proper depth and finish with clean edges and mulch.
You can bring us a plan from our landscape design service, a sketch of your own, or just a problem area you want fixed. Either way you get a free, written estimate first, and the same family-owned crew does the work from start to finish. We are careful with your property along the way, protecting lawn areas we cross and cleaning up at the end of each day. When we finish, we walk the beds with you and go over how to water the new plants through their first season.
Our landscape installations process
Plan the planting
We confirm plant choices, spacing and bed lines with you, and check for sun, drainage and any buried lines before digging.
Prep the beds
We clear the area, set the grade so water moves away from the foundation, and blend organic matter into the native soil.
Plant it right
Holes are dug wider than the root ball, not deeper. The root flare sits at or slightly above grade, circling roots are loosened, and each plant is watered in.
Finish and walk through
We edge the beds, mulch at the right depth and clean up. Then we walk the project with you and go over a watering plan.
Before you book
Best planting windows
Spring and early fall are the easiest times to plant here. Cooler temperatures and more rain help roots settle in before summer heat or winter cold.
Sandy soil and watering
Our fast-draining sandy soil dries out quickly. New plantings need deep, regular watering for the first season, especially in July and August.
Local watering rules
Some utilities, like Evesham MUA and WTMUA, run odd/even summer watering schedules. Check your town's rules and water new plants on your allowed days.

“This team does an awesome job! They are very professional and detail oriented. I have used 5 different companies this year and this is the first to actually listen and cut at the height I requested. Pablo is a true professional that puts the client first and his team is very meticulous and detail oriented. They do “top notch” work. The lawn looks like a lush green carpet. I will be using them for other projects. If I could rate them a 10, I would.”
“I can't say enough good things about P&F Lawn Care. I work for a nonprofit preschool and reached out to David a few months ago as we needed a new lawn service. From day one, they have provided excellent service, proven to be extremely responsive and go above and beyond to accommodate all our needs. I have not hesitated to recommend them to friends as well. Thank you David and P&F Lawn Care for your exceptional work ethic and commitment to providing high quality service! We couldn't be happier!!!”
Landscape Installations questions
When is the best time to plant trees and shrubs in New Jersey?
Early fall is often the best window, with spring a close second. Soil is still warm in September and October, so roots keep growing while the tops slow down. Spring works well too, but plants go into summer with less time to establish, so they need more attention to watering.
How often should I water new shrubs?
For the first few weeks, water deeply two to three times a week unless it rains, then taper off as roots grow. In sandy South Jersey soil, check more often during heat. Stick a finger a couple inches into the soil near the root ball. If it is dry, water slowly and deeply.
How deep should a tree be planted?
The root flare, where the trunk widens into roots, should sit at or just above the soil line. Planting too deep is one of the most common reasons young trees decline. We dig a wide, shallow hole, set the tree on firm soil and backfill so it stays at the right height.
Can you replace dead or overgrown shrubs in an existing bed?
Yes. We can remove what is not working through our shrub trimming and removal service, refresh the soil, and plant replacements that fit the space. It is often a good time to reshape the bed and add fresh mulch so the whole area looks finished, not patched.
